Isoco

With a corner of Sicily, where the sun caresses the waves, and the mountains rise majestically, is intertwined my history and my unbreakable bond with Taormina, an enchanting place that to the beauty of nature combines the warmth of hospitality.

My name is Michele Scimone, and since birth I have found myself immersed in an atmosphere of exquisite hospitality, the result of a cross-cultural love born from the marriage of my German mother and my Sicilian father. In this union is rooted my destiny, the fusion of warmth and hospitality.

In 1966, my mother, Margareth Stuettem, decided to transform a simple building built by my father Francesco Scimone, into the guesthouse “Villa Margherita,” which became an oasis for souls in search of tranquility. Thus, I grew up in such a welcoming atmosphere that I absorbed every lesson in hospitality with the utmost attention to detail.

Having become the custodian of this magical place in 1987, I transformed it into a residence under the name of “Lovely Days,” an adventure that gave its guests a portrait of an authentic Sicily in that every stay was transformed into a celebration of daily life, with smiles and unforgettable memories, and that was until 1989.

The waves of life took me to Germany, where my creativity blossomed like a flower in the desert, spilling over into the world of design.
Eleven years of an intense career in the world of graphics certainly perfected my visual communication, but the call of my homeland, like a siren song, brought me back to Sicily in 2000.

Reopening the doors of the guesthouse, transformed into a B&B – “Isoco Guest House,” I have dedicated myself with passion to its management until 2024.

In twenty-five years I have refined my skills with respect to hospitality, and rediscovered a deep love for my work.
During the periods of closure of the B&B, I have traveled extensively, including to distant lands and for long periods. I have visited places that are more than enticing, and I have encountered different cultures. My knowledge of languages, as well as my travels, have made me an authentic traveler with respect for every person, every place, every custom.

Over time, despite the accolades (my B&B ranks among the top places on TripAdvisor) and the personal satisfactions, the weight of daily work has threatened to cloud my spirit. So I decided, in order to continue to offer quality hospitality, to transform my structure into two exclusive spaces – “The Isoco Terrace” and “The Isoco Garden.”

My adventure continues with a new formula, maintaining the professionalism, the passion for hospitality and welcoming in this corner of paradise, where the beauty of nature and its landscape intertwine with the soul of a man who invites you to call this land your home.
Welcome to Taormina – My home shall be yours.
